Vastela is a Zürich-based and second-hand bookstore selling exclusively English books. We want to provide a sustainable book thrifting platform to ensure you can purchase any book at a fair price while remaining environmentally conscious.

Find all available second-hand English books on our website and order now with free shipping in Zürich City for orders above 15CHF.

Wishlists
Send us your wishlist, your goodreads profile link or let us know who your favorite authors are and we will thrift for you.

Donate
Don't know what to do with your old books? You can donate your English books to us by bringing them to the bookstore during working hours.

You will be able to find us at Goldbrunnenstrasse 120, 8055 Zürich (corner of Nussbaumstrasse).

Our Working Hours
We will be open Mon-Fri 4pm-7pm and Sat 11am-5pm.

Our Collection
We have over 2000 books spanning from fiction to non-fiction, romance to fantasy, and culinary to children's books. All books are in English, second-hand, fairly priced and in great conditions.

Store Benefits
We will continue selling books online as previously but the physical store will bring some additional benefits:
1. You can purchase books on our website and skip the delivery costs by picking up your order
2. You can bring >10 books as a donation and benefit from 20% discount on your store purchases (<10 books = 10% discount)
3. You can read any book at leisure in our store prior to purchase
